Once worn bridal dresses and almost new wedding dresses  can be purchased from specialist second hand bridal shops, charity bridal shops, such as Oxfam and online stores. Wedding dresses available at these stores maybe model dresses from the previous season’s stock and are usually in excellent condition or dresses that were purchased but for some reasons were never worn. Moreover there maybe dresses that are sold by brides who dont prefer to store wedding dresses and enjoy another bride looking beautiful in her dress on their wedding day.

Instead of disreagarding the idea of purchasing a second hand wedding dress, you could consider buying a vintage dress , definitely you wouldn’t think twice about buying a 1950’s prom dress.

In the UK, retailer DHS has produced a £100 = 150 dollars wedding outfit.  The ensemble, sold by BHS, consists of a white strapless top, A-line skirt and shoes. Bridesmaids can also be kitted out with a skirt and bodice from around £85.

The retailer is the latest in a line to offer cheap wedding attire at knock-down prices.Last year, Marks & Spencer cut a bridal dress to £15, a 10th of its original price, as it cleared out old stock.Supermarket giant Asda led the charge in 2006, offering a range of >wedding dresses for £60.UK couples pay an average of around £20,000 for their wedding, with the dress typically costing nearly £1,000, according to You And Your Wedding magazine.

Some brides manage to save money by opting for a second-hand dress — in September last year Heather Saint from Teesside managed to find hers on eBay for 5p.Bryony Toogood, fashion editor of Brides magazine, said the BHS budget design would suit most people, but lacked the “red carpet treatment” of going to a designer.Back in 2006, Asda launched its two-piece, single-breasted “disposable suit”, costing just £19. At the time it was marketed as the first suit that was less expensive to buy than to dry-clean.Thus if you have a restraint budget or a bridal dress that you dont prefer to preserve or store then visit a second hand bridal market and exchange it for some money.

The second hand wedding dress business has become a huge business.  You can buy or sell a dress on the internet at sites such as  SellYourWeddingDress.Com.  Sellers are enticed with ads such as sell your dress and get some cash.  Buyers can browse from the comfort of their homes and see a much larger selection of dresses than if they were to physically visit stores.  Websites are arranged by size making browsing very easy.

Unless you plan to keep your wedding dress wrapped in plastic and in a wardrobe for the next fifty years, selling your dress may be a great option.
