Alcohol Free Hen Night Ideas

Many traditional hen and stag dos are centred on having a good time... in other words having a drink. Yes, most of us like the odd tipple but for some - for whatever reason - alcohol is off limits. If you are a tee-total bride, you may be in two minds about what you should do for your hen do: either let your friends drink and hope you wont have to take care of them at the end of the night, or eliminate alcohol from the hen night plan altogether. If you are leaning towards the latter, here are some alcohol-free ideas for you and your hen party to enjoy.

Deals and Special Offers

If you and your friends are stuck for ideas, a hunt for deals and special offers online can spark some inspiration. Once you are armed with some vouchers and coupons, your alternative, alcohol-free hen party may cost you less than a standard night on the tiles.

Spa Break

A relaxing spa break in an idyllic spot may be just the ticket for your pre-wedding jitters. Taking a weekend break away from familiar surroundings can give you and your partner some much needed time and space to breath before your wedding. You will probably find that all those facials, massages and treatments will also add to your bridal glow on your big day.

Again, restaurant vouchers may enable you to go to a posh, swanky restaurant which would normally be out of your price reach. Why not look up some unusual restaurants with a twist which offer an experience alongside gorgeous food. Try the Dans Le Noir? in Londons Farringdon for an evening of giggles and dining in the dark. Meals are selected by the chef from a surprise menu which is then served in the pitch black for a sensory, social experience. The Doodle Bar in Battersea provides chalk and black-board walls and furniture so you can doodle whilst you snack on nibbles. Try not to make your drawings too rude!

A Random Activity

Alternatively, you could pick a random activity from a hat and go along, no matter what it is. Hat activity ideas could include salsa dancing, karaoke, pole dancing and an adventure course. Everyone will be taken out of their comfort zone and even the most hardened drinker will forget that they are not in a bar.

Night in

Spend a good, old fashioned night in with friends, films and yummy food. You can replace alcohol with something naughty and indulgent like chocolate or set up a little party in the garden with nibbles, non-alcohol cocktails and cake. Great hen night films include sing-along musicals like Dirty Dancing, Mamma Mia and Grease, soppy tearjerkers and cheesy horror movies.
