Spring has
sprung and as the season begins; flowers are starting to bloom, new life is
springing afresh and the country seems to wake from its wintery slumber. With
the land emerging from the washed out wintery weather to the gloriously
colourful bursts of spring, it can be a real boost to mood and make you feel as
fresh as a daisy!
Spring can
be a beautifully bright time and there are many brides who will be getting
ready to tie the knot with the love of their lives. Why not add a splash of
spring colours to your wedding? It’s not as hard as you may think.
Green is
often associated with spring due to the burgeoning plants rearing their heads
during the season but green is not perhaps to everyone’s taste. Peaches and
corals can be a good accompaniment to green and can bring a touch of warmth to
the colour so a peach/green palette is a complementary colour scheme against
the backdrop of a beautiful spring day.
Light
chocolate brown and pale pink can bring a touch of class to any spring wedding
and can be used for table linen, bridesmaid’s dresses and much more besides.
With sumptuous chocolate brown as the base and using the pale pink to lift the
colour it can be not only flattering but luxurious.
For a bold
statement when it comes to colour scheme for spring; blue, violet and fuchsia
can provide that stand out style you may be looking for and giving a burst of
colour against the crisp white of the bridal gown. A bouquet with soft violet
undertones and splashes of blue and fuchsia can really bring a daring
personality to the occasion.
If you do
want to stick with green in the colour scheme for your spring wedding, a touch
of pink can bring a gentle subtlety to the occasion. Soft green and pastel pink
complement each other beautifully and there are many delicate green flowers
that can be added to the wedding bouquet and table decorations.
Many colours
can be used in your wedding palette but sometimes a little simplicity can go a
long way. Why not try using one colour but in varying hues? Reds can be bold
but the addition of pink can actually tone down the vibrancy and lead to a soft
and rich colour scheme. Pink and purple make an attractive combination to make
eye-catching bouquets or sashes and hair accessories for bridesmaids.
Spring
weddings can be so romantic and with nature putting on a spectacular show, the
backdrop of the blooming season can make for a dazzling wedding. So why not add
a touch of spring to your wedding and watch the occasion come alive with joy?
